DataMetrics ("we", "our", "us") operates the DataMetrics Connector Shopify application. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
When you install the DataMetrics Connector, we access the following data from your Shopify store through the Shopify API: order and sales data, product and inventory data, customer data (name, email, order history), and store analytics reports. This data is retrieved using the access scopes you approve during installation.
Your data is used solely for analytical purposes — to build and power your DataMetrics dashboard. We aggregate your Shopify data with your advertising data (provided separately) to calculate key performance metrics such as revenue, profitability, return on ad spend, and customer trends. We do not sell, rent, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing your analytics dashboard.
Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL databases) with encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your data is restricted to your dedicated dashboard, which is protected by authenticated login credentials. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
We retain your data for as long as you have an active subscription with DataMetrics. If you uninstall the DataMetrics Connector app from your Shopify store, or if you request data deletion, we will permanently delete all of your stored data within 30 days of the request. You can request data deletion at any time by contacting us.
We access customer data (names, emails, and order history) solely to calculate customer analytics such as customer segments, repeat purchase rates, and customer lifetime value. We do not contact your customers, and we do not use customer data for marketing or any purpose beyond your dashboard analytics.
We use the following third-party services to operate DataMetrics: Supabase for data storage, Vercel for application hosting, and Metabase for dashboard rendering. Each of these services has its own privacy policy and security measures. We do not share your raw data with any other third parties.
You have the right to request a copy of all data we hold about you or your customers, request deletion of all your data, and withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling the app. We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
